For Julia, yoga has been a part of her life since she was a child. With a mother who is into mindfulness, spirituality and holistic healing, she got introduced to yoga at an early age. Julia’s yoga journey started when she was 15 years old and took her first “real” asana class with Jani Jaatinen. She immediately fell in love with the practice of asana. For a few years yoga was a physical activity that she enjoyed.
The year of 2013 she started practicing regularly, reading books about the philosophy behind yoga and meditation became a big part of her life.
Julia graduated as a 200 hr Vinyasa & Hatha yoga teacher from Power of Now Oasis in Sanur, Bali the year of 2015. Shortly after the training she moved to Palawan, the Philippines to work as a yoga teacher at a detox centre. After this she has been teaching in Sweden, Iceland and now, Finland.
In November 2017 she completed her 300 hr Vinyasa teacher training at Sampoorna Yoga in Goa, India. She is always looking for ways to expand her knowledge as a yoga teacher and self-study is part of her everyday-life.
In her classes you can expect to find a stronger connection to your true self, to move dynamically and to find feel each moment as it is. Julia has a desire to bring people back to the practice of self-love and to create a safe space for healing to happen. She strongly feels that yoga is for everyone regardless of age, physical fitness or background. For her, yoga is to enjoy, have fun and to surrender oneself into the journey of life.
